The Rochester Americans announced that the team is hosting Pride Night to benefit the Out Alliance on Friday, Jan. 17 when they face off against the Cleveland Monsters at 7:05 p.m. at The Blue Cross Arena.
“Out Alliance is thrilled to be a part of this amazing partnership and event that creates another safe and welcoming atmosphere for the LGBTQ+ community within the world of sports,” said Tamara Leigh, director of operations and public relations for Out Alliance. “We value the Amerks’ commitment to make their space safe for all Rochesterians and their willingness to do the work necessary to educate themselves and their staff to ensure it. It’s going to be a great night that we invite everyone out to enjoy and look forward to many more to come!”
The Pride Night festivities begin with a Genesee Pregame Happy Hour from 6 to 7 p.m. in the Genesee Brew House Upper Atrium Bar, featuring live music and $2 drafts of Genesee and Genesee Light. The first 1,000 fans will receive a custom Amerks and Out Alliance Pride Night T-shirt.
Pride Night hat packs are available for $30 and include one premium ticket to that night’s game as well as one Amerks Pride Night hat.
