Annunciation’s 85th annual picnic to take place August 19-21

The Church of the Annunciation in Elma will host its annual summer picnic Aug. 19-21 on parish grounds, located at 7580 Clinton St.

Festivities will open on Friday, Aug. 19, with a Classic Car Cruise Night from 6 to 9 p.m. Music by Breakaway, Buffalo’s premiere party band, will take place from 7 to 11 p.m. in the beer tent.

On Saturday, Aug. 20, Annunciation will serve a delicious pork chop dinner from 4 p.m. until sold out. Additionally, the church’s famous chowder sale will take place beginning at 1 p.m., eat in or take out! Flipside, voted Buffalo’s best classic pop band, will perform in the beer tent from 7 to 11 p.m.

A Polka Mass in the church featuring Ken Malchalski & The Buffalo Touch will kick off festivities at 11 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 21. The chowder sale will resume at noon, and a Wendel’s Chicken BBQ will also be offered from noon until sold out. Buffalo Touch, America’s party polka band, will entertain in the beer tent from noon to 4 p.m.

Other picnic highlights include a continuous food court all three days, a grand drawing with a first prize of $5,000, theme baskets, a hand-quilted Amish quilt raffle, grocery drawings and more!
