Bonnets for Babies, a Western New York-based nonprofit organizations whose primary mission is to help keep children and babies warm all year long, is asking local businesses, organizations and residents for assistance this holiday season.
Bonnets for Babies provides local families in need with new and/or handmade bonnets, hats, gloves, scarves, mittens, coats, boots, pajamas, blankets and other clothing items for children from birth to five years of age. It’s a “labor of love” for the organization’s founders, Jane Randazzo Pelosi, Linda Koenigsberg and Pompea DiSanto Owens, a hard-working team that earned a lifetime of experience working in fields such as social work, healthcare and education.
“During this season of giving, we would love to partner with local businesses and organizations that might want to ‘adopt’ us during the holidays — and hopefully beyond — and help us provide much-needed gifts of warmth and comfort to those in need,” said Jane, president of Bonnets for Babies. “The need for product donations and funding is year-round.”
To assist with product donations, the organization has set up a Bonnets for Babies Amazon Wishlist. Items purchased through the Wishlist are delivered directly to Bonnets for Babies where they are organized for distribution by a group of dedicated volunteers. The Wishlist can be accessed at https://www.amazon.com/registries/gl/guest-view/IS44XJBQ625A.

“The hats, gloves, coats, pajamas, bonnets and blankets contributed to date have not only kept our precious children warm, but have also wrapped them in the love and kindness that defines the spirit of the season,” added Linda. “We urge our neighboring businesses, organizations and residents across Western New York to get involved and help us make this holiday season very special for families in need.”
