The Boston Lions Club is now accepting applications for a college scholarship award of up to $1,000. The award is open to current Town of Boston seniors planning to attend college in the fall of 2021.
To apply, candidates must supply a copy of their admission or acceptance letter to college, business school or technical school for the Fall 2021 semester, plus a one-page letter describing your volunteer service at school or in your community over the past two years. One letter of reference from a teacher or community service director verifying your commitment and role is also required. Paperwork must be submitted by May 1 to Lion Deborah Wrazen, 9003 Rockwood Road, Boston, N.Y. 14025.
The Boston Lions Club supports Boston residents through a loan closet (medical equipment, walkers, canes, wheelchairs, hospital beds, etc.), annual student scholarships and helping those in need of assistance in the community. New members are always welcome.
