The Buffalo Bandettes have announce their upcoming summer programs and team auditions.
Three prep classes will be held ahead of the 2026-27 team auditions. Jazz Prep Class will take place from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 23 and a Hip Hop Prep Class will take place from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 13.
New this year is the Fuel Your Mind & Body Prep Class. This virtual class will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 25. Auditions can be exhilarating yet draining, testing both your mental fortitude and physical endurance. This dynamic prep class is designed to invigorate attendees with powerful tools to elevate their performance. Discover insider tips to conquer nerves and unleash a surge of energy, empowering you to dazzle and deliver your finest performance. This class will be taught by Bandettes alumna Amanda Wnuk, LMHC-D, and Bandettes captain Julianna Szczesniak, MS, RDN, CDN.
Prep classes are $35 each, or bundle all three for $90.
Young dancers ages 6 to 16 years old are invited to take class with the Bandettes at the Summer Juniors on Sunday, Aug. 16. This two-hour class is a great opportunity to make new friends, learn from professionals and perform a fun dance combination at the end of the session. Ages 6 to 9 will take place from 12 to 2 p.m., and ages 10 to 16 will take place from 2 to 4 p.m. This program is $50 per person and limited spots remain. All who register and attend the classes will be entered to win one in-season Junior Bandettes registration!
Those who believe they have what it takes to dance on the Buffalo Bandettes professional dance team are invited to audition for the 2026-27 team on Saturday, Sept. 26. Check in will begin at noon, followed by three rounds of auditions: Round 1 will consist of rookie candidate solos, round 2 will consist of hip hop choreography, and round 3 will consist of jazz choreography. Cuts will take place at the conclusion of each round. Finalist interviews will take place the following day online. There is no fee to audition for the team. Interested parties must be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma.
Save the date! The collegiate Spirit Summit will be taking place on Saturday, Oct. 10. This class will bring together dance teams from local colleges, where they will learn a routine from the last Bandits season and receive direct feedback from current members of the Bandits.
