Dhane Smith, star forward for the Buffalo Bandits and 2016 National Lacrosse League MVP, will visit the Collector’s Expo from 11 a.m. to noon Saturday, Sept. 9, for a free autograph event. The Collectors’ Expo will take place from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the Buffalo Irish Center, 245 Abbott Road, Buffalo.
Selected in the first round (fifth overall) of the 2012 NLL Entry Draft, the Kitchener, Ontario native was also a 2016 First Team All-Pro and was named to the All-Rookie Team in 2013. During his NLL career, he has recorded 185 goals and 243 assists in just 83 regular season games, plus 23 goals and 26 assists in nine playoff game appearances.
Admission at the door is just $2, with children under 10 admitted free. All attendees will receive a free pack of “vintage” baseball, hockey or football cards while supplies last. Plus, 100 percent of the door proceeds will be donated to three organizations: Dog Ears Bookstore, South Buffalo Alive and the Buffalo Irish Center.
