Buffalo Bandits have busy week on trade market

It was a busy week for the Buffalo Bandits!

The Buffalo Bandits this week announced several trades prior to the NLL trade deadline.

• The team acquired transition player Kiel Matisz and a fourth-round pick in the 2028 NLL Entry Draft from the Vancouver Warriors in exchange for a second-round pick in the 2028 NLL Entry Draft. Matisz (6’5″, 225 lbs., 6/8/1989) has appeared in 192 career NLL games with the Minnesota Swarm, Georgia Swarm, Philadelphia Wings, New York Riptide and Ottawa Black Bears. The Stoney Creek, Ontario native has recorded 630 points (202+428) and 882 loose-ball recoveries. This season, he ranks second on Ottawa in assists. Matisz was selected by Minnesota in the first round (third overall) of the 2012 NLL Entry Draft.

• The Bandits also announced the team has acquired transition player Ron John and a third-round pick in the 2025 NLL Entry Draft from the Ottawa Black Bears in exchange for a second-round pick in the 2026 NLL Entry Draft and forward Sam La Roue. John (6’0″, 200 lbs., 4/17/1998) has appeared in 59 career NLL games with the Colorado Mammoth, New York Riptide and Ottawa Black Bears. The Angola, N.Y. native has recorded 33 points (7+26) and 260 loose-ball recoveries. He was selected by Colorado in the second round (18th overall) of the 2020 NLL Entry Draft.

• Finally, the Bandits acquired a second-round pick in the 2026 NLL Entry Draft and a conditional fourth-round pick in the 2028 NLL Entry Draft from the San Diego Seals in exchange for forward Marquez White.
