The Buffalo Scholastic Rowing Association is gearing up for a full fall rowing season on the Buffalo River. Located at 405 Ohio St. in Buffalo’s Old First Ward, BSRA boasts multiple fall programs for rowers of all skill levels.
Programs are open to new and experienced rowers in grades seven through 12; no experience is required and all are welcome. Sessions begin Sept. 21 and run through the beginning of November. The cost for the fall season is $200. Blue Cross Blue Shield and Independent Health wellness cards are accepted, and youth scholarships are also available. Please contact BSRA for more information.
BSRA’s Junior Men program is offered from 4:45 to 6:45 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, and 9 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday.
The Junior Women program is offered from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, and 9 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday.
Rowing is a low-risk sport in terms of both physical injury and virus. Masks must be worn until rowers leave the dock, and social distancing rules are in effect. All equipment is disinfected between each use.
