Buffalo Scholastic Rowing Association plans Launch ’19 fundraising event

Launch ’19, the Buffalo Scholastic Rowing Association’s first annual fundraiser at its new boathouse at 405 Ohio St. in Buffalo, will take place on Saturday, Sept. 21. Proceeds from the event will help fund completion of the state-of-the-art boathouse.

The event will feature silent and live auctions, raffles, live music by the Taverners and riverboat rides. Dinner, craft beer and wine are included with your ticket, and cocktails will also be available for purchase. General admission will begin at 6 p.m., with the event concluding at 9 p.m.

Launch ’19 will take place under white tents with white lights, with the beautiful scenery of the Buffalo River serving as a backdrop. Tickets for this “country club casual” evening, part of the ongoing Old First Ward resurgence, are $75 per person through Sept. 15 and $100 afterward. The “Four with Coxswain” package for $500 admits five guests and includes VIP admission at 5 p.m., one cocktail drink voucher per guest and two 4×8 engraved bricks in the BSRA Brick Walkway. The “Varsity” package for  $1,500 admits 10 guests and includes VIP admission at 5 p.m., one drink voucher per guest, two 8×8 engraved bricks in the BSRA Brick Walkway and a riverboat ride!

The Buffalo Scholastic Rowing Association is a nonprofit organization founded in 2010 with the objective of making the sport of rowing more accessible to the greater Buffalo community.
