The Niagara SPCA sees hundreds of dogs and cats come through its doors each year. It’s no surprise then, that among those hundreds, are some extra special animals that steal the hearts of everyone they meet. G.I. Joe is just that kind of special dog.
Joe arrived at the shelter in July of this year. He is estimated to be about four years old, but because he has some white coloring on his face, many visitors assume he is older and pass him by. They never give Joe a chance to show them what a great dog he is, and so, this fellow is still waiting patiently for a home.
Joe is very friendly, and an easy going kind of dog. He walks well on a leash and is very affectionate. Because Joe is playful and energetic at times, he is not recommended for a home with very small children, but he would be fine with older children or an adult only home. Joe does need to be the only dog in the home, but he makes up for that with lots of unconditional love.
G.I. Joe has earned a reputation with the SPCA volunteers as just an overall nice dog. He is a pleasure to walk, and really seems to enjoy his human friends. What he’s missing is a family of his own.
If you think Joe might be your future best friend, please contact the SPCA of Niagara at 731-4368 to schedule a meet and greet. G.I. Joe’s adoption fee is $110 and includes spay, microchip, up-to-date shots and one free vet visit.
Please help find Joe, and homeless pets like him, the loving homes they deserve. Visit online at www.niagaraspca.org, or stop by and visit the shelter in person. The SPCA of Niagara is located at 2100 Lockport Road in Niagara Falls.
