The Chestnut Ridge Conservancy, a 501(c) (3) corporation, has announced that the first of two summer movie nights will feature the movie Shrek (PG) on Saturday, Aug. 25 starting at 8:15 p.m.
The movie is the winner of an Academy Award for best animated feature, the first time an Oscar was given for the category in 2001.The film runs 90 minutes.
Guests should bring lawn chairs, blankets, light jackets or appropriate viewing accompaniment, and bug spray, if desired. Hot dogs, snacks, popcorn and beverages will be available for purchase. All proceeds benefit the Chestnut Ridge Conservancy.
Please arrive early to get a good seat. In case of rain, the movie will be shown inside the park casino.
Freewill donations will be accepted to help defray the cost of the movie and setup. Please consider joining the Conservancy. Memberships will be available for purchase at the event. They make great holiday gifts.
