CrossFit event on July 16 to benefit HOPE House shelter for women and children

CrossFit Nickel City (CFNC) and its partner Move Well 1on1 Physical Therapy, 247 Virginia St., Buffalo, are hosting an in-house individual CrossFit competition at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 16. The purpose of the event is to raise money and collect donations for Buffalo’s Matt Urban HOPE House shelter for women and children. On Saturday, visitors can catch some of the athletes competing during the in-house competition while they enjoy drinks from Ashker’s Juice Bar and Cafe.

The following supporters have donated items for a basket raffle that will take place during the event: Red Poppy Etc., Rockin’ Beauty, Half and Half Boutique, Skin by Amber, Shianne Waxing Studio, Pasion Latin Fusion Cuisine, Parables Gallery and Gifts, Pano’s on Elmwood, Elmwood Discount Liquor Store, Caputi Wine and Liquors, Fuse Salon and Gallery, and El Buen Amigo Latin American Cultural Association.

Also donating items were Allentown Pizza, Allen Street Poutine Co., Sweet Temptations du Jour, Lloyd Taco Factory, Salon B, Poster Art USA, Ashker’s on Elmwood, Bootleg Bucha, Outback Steakhouse, Lululemon Athletica, Buffalo Barrel + Brine, and AT&T.

Visitors are invited to stop by the gym from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. to drop off any donations (clothing, toiletries, pantry items, etc.) or purchase tickets for the basket and 50/50 raffles.
