Elmwood Village Farmers Market continues on May 20

May 16, 2017 | Events

The popular Elmwood Village Farmers Market, featuring nearly 40 vendors selling fresh, seasonal and local produce and products, continues on Saturday, May 20, at the corner of Elmwood Avenue and Bidwell Parkway in Buffalo’s historic Elmwood Village. Hours at the open-air market, a program of the Elmwood Village Association, are 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Saturday, rain or shine, through November.

Field & Fork Network’s “Double Up Food Bucks” program has returned to the market for its fourth season. The program provides low-income individuals who receive Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits with a $1 for $1 match, up to $20, to purchase fresh, locally-grown fruits and vegetables. Please stop at the Elmwood Village Association tent during market hours for more information.

Providing musical entertainment on May 20 will be Tina Marie Williams from 9:30 to 11 a.m., followed by David Adamczyk from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Hosting the market’s community group tables will be Allentown Industries, Big Big Table Community Cafe and the Lexington Co-op.
