An exercise class offered by Buffalo State College senior Molly Lawler will take place from 11 a.m. to noon Saturdays beginning Jan. 14 at the Elmwood Village Winter Market at Buffalo State. Classes will be held in the Buckham Hall atrium at the Rees Street entrance, and participants are asked to bring a bottle of water and yoga mat. Classes will be free of charge; goodwill offerings would be appreciated. A Tabata workout will be featured on Jan. 14.
Lawler, a Health and Wellness major, received her ISCA Personal Training Certification as well as First Aid/CPR from the National Safety Council. AHA certified, she hopes to earn a Strength and Conditioning Certificate and continue her education in the personal training field.
The Elmwood Village Winter Market at Buffalo State, an indoor version of the popular Elmwood Village Farmers Market, takes place from 9 a.m. to noon Saturdays in Buckham Hall on the campus of SUNY Buffalo State, 1300 Elmwood Ave. In addition to hosting nearly 20 quality vendors, entertainment is offered from approximately 10 to 11:30 a.m. Providing musical entertainment on Jan. 14 will be No Illusions. Hosting the market’s community table this Saturday will be Meals on Wheels WNY. One group or organization from Buffalo State also hosts a weekly informational table, and the market is equipped to accept EBT customers as well.
Participating vendors include Alpine Made, Angel Cakes By Evin, Barrel & Brine, Belleview Farm, Biscotti for Everybotti, Blue Table Chocolates, Carla’s Crumby Creations, Darling Bee, Fetch! Gourmet Dog Treats, First Light Farm & Creamery, Go Veggies, Kindred Kreek Alpaca Farm, LynOaken Farms, Native Offerings Farm, Plato Dale Farm, Public Espresso + Coffee, and Rooted Locally.
Buckham Hall is located on Rockwell Road near Grant Street. Free parking is available on campus during market hours, and Lot R-13 is recommended for convenience.

On Saturday, May 6, the Elmwood Village Farmers Market will return to its usual outdoor location at the intersection of Elmwood Avenue and Bidwell Parkway in Buffaloʼs historic Elmwood Village. Both markets are a program of the Elmwood Village Association.
