The South Buffalo Community Table “Get Together” Committee has announced plans for their final fundraising event. It will be held on Sunday, April 2, from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Ironworkers Hall, 196 Orchard Park Road, West Seneca.
This year’s 30th annual event will be bittersweet as it remembers and honors Sister Mary Celeste O’Bryan who ran “The Table” for several decades and inspired others to help our neighbors in need by providing hot meals year-round. Sister Celeste passed away in December 2022, but her legacy lives on.
“While Sister is no longer with us, we are grateful to have this one last opportunity to support her mission with this event. Sister always liked a good party and appreciated the generosity of all who attended,” said Joe Murphy, co-chair of this yearly fundraiser.
Over the past 30 years, thousands of supporters from South Buffalo and Western New York have gathered to:
• Raise a glass with old friends and neighbors
• Support the good work of The Table
• Listen to great live music, and
• Take a chance on the amazing basket raffle and silent auction!
Tickets are still only $20 at the door and include beer, pop, food and great music featuring The South Buffalo Fresh Air Music Club, South Buffalo All Stars, Grace Stumberg and an acoustical set by Johnny Hart.
