This year, the nation’s #1 rated artisan market — Christmas in the Country — opens Friday, Nov. 15, with a seasonal treat designed to delight and help the area’s most talented youth musicians. The Rochester Philharmonic Youth Orchestra (RPYO) will headline “First Look Friday,” playing seasonal favorites from 4 to 9 p.m. at the Rochester Dome Arena, 2695 East Henrietta Road, Henrietta.
Christmas in the Country – Rochester, the ultimate holiday shopping experience, runs from Nov. 15-17. The RPYO will also hold a raffle of products donated from participating artisans. “Giving back to the community has always been an integral part of our philosophy,” said Dan Kaczynski of Premier Promotions, the event organizer. “This is a special time of the year and we always remember the true meaning of the season.” Over the years, Premier Promotions has helped various nonprofit organizations raise over $3 million.
The three-day event features over 200 artisans and artists from across the country who will be displaying and selling their unique handcrafted creations including gourmet food, wine and spirits, spa-quality bath and beauty products, trendsetting jewelry, hand-poured aromatic candles, eco-friendly clothing, pottery, original wall art, woodwork, home décor and holiday gift items galore.
“This market gives shoppers a unique experience. There are all the sights, sounds and scents of the holidays, but all of the products are handmade by the artisans at the event so they truly are one of a kind,” said Kaczynski. “The interaction between patrons and artisans is something you just cannot find on an ordinary shopping trip. And most importantly, your holiday gift giving will be meaningful and inspired.”
Christmas in the Country – Rochester will be open from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday, Nov. 15; 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16; and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 17. Complimentary return passes are available each day.
