The Buffalo-Lille Association will be holding a fundraiser at the Flying Bison Brewing Company from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 22. The location was chosen because of the long beer making traditions in northern France and southern Belgium and of course here in Buffalo. The association will be hosting a professional delegation from that area later this year in July, and the fundraiser will help with the cost of hosting these guests from France and Belgium.
A donation to the fundraiser of $35 (cash or check only) will include a tour of the brewery, three drinks, finger foods and music by Payazzo, as well as French trivia and songs.
Flying Bison Brewing Company is located at 840 Seneca St., Buffalo, two blocks east of Larkin Square. For more information or to reserve a space, please contact Dr. Jean-François Gounard at

The Buffalo-Lille Association operates under the auspices of Sister Cities International and works on strengthening partnerships at all levels between the Buffalo-Niagara region and the Eurométropole area in northern France and southern Belgium which includes the cities of Lille (France) and Mouscron, Tournai and Courtrai (Belgium). It will receive a delegation from Eurométropole with representatives in the medical, educational, cultural and legal fields this summer from July 10-15. The visitors will be hosted by local families and will visit local businesses, institutions, schools and museums in order to continue to foster cooperation between our regions.
