Is your child ready for the advantages of a strong Pre-K program but not quite ready for a full-day commitment? If that’s the case, the Strong Start Early Learning Academy at Annunciation Church in Elma has a proven, time-tested solution.
“While education and socialization are extremely important for the mental and physical development of all children, some children — and parents — just are not ready for a full-day commitment,” said Program Director Carrie D’Attilio. “At Annunciation, we strive for a more personalized experience for parent and child highlighted by a smaller class size, which encourages more one-to-one attention, making it the perfect alternative to a full-day requirement.”
Other highlights of the program include emphasis on hands-on learning and play, instructors with master’s degrees and 20-plus years of teaching experience, development of important social skills, and sensory play opportunities that develop fine motor skills. Additionally, Annunciation’s Pre-K program includes proven programs such as Handwriting Without Tears and Building Blocks Math. Strong Start follows New York State standards and ensures that all activities are challenging but maintain developmentally appropriate practices.
“Our Strong Start program concentrates on developmentally appropriate practices for children in a fun and Christ-centered learning community. In addition to our modern classroom facilities, we also have a large indoor gym and a secure outdoor area for fun and creative recreational activities.”
“We are proud to offer an environment that promotes independence and creativity, and a classroom that teaches morals such as respect, kindness and responsibility,” D’Attilio added. “We’ve been successfully doing it this way for many years and have a proven track record.”
Located at 7580 Clinton St., Annunciation offers a two-day Pre-K3 option from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday and Thursday, and a three-day program Monday, Wednesday and Friday. The Pre-K4/5 program is offered from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Monday through Friday.
