An event designed for keeping seniors healthy will be taking place on Wednesday, Oct. 9 on the grounds and throughout the main entrance to the campus of The Amberleigh at 2330 Maple Road, Williamsville. The event will run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
It will include a large assortment of vendor booths and representatives from organizations that support people in their golden years and wish to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
“We have hosted this event at The Amberleigh in the past and are looking forward to putting on another great attraction for the Western New York community,” states Stacy Mevzek, executive director of The Amberleigh. “The event is absolutely free, so we encourage anyone in our community, whether you are a senior — or take care of a senior — to take advantage of this event next month.”
Sponsors/exhibitors committed to date include Unitedhealthcare, which offers Medicare supplemental plans; Hearing Evaluation Services; AXA Advisors; Visiting Nurses Association; Southtowns Medi-Spa; Atwal Eye Care and McGuire Group Rehabilitation, to name a few. There will be booths from wineries, local food companies, a farmers’ market, freebies, desserts and much more.
There will be entertainment on the Unitedhealthcare stage courtesy of The Amberleigh. McGuire Group will be providing free reusable shopping bags for all attendees, while they last.
Anyone wishing to be a sponsor or exhibitor for this event may contact Paul D. Maurer at 553-4061 or Michele Pellette at 400-4698. Information on the event will be posted at capitalsenior.com.
