International wrestling stars coming to North Tonawanda

Empire State Wrestling (ESW) returns to the St. Johnsburg Fire Hall, 7165 Ward Road, North Tonawanda, on Saturday, March 30 for “Sky is The Limit.” General admission tickets are $15 pre-sale and $20 day of event. Front and second row tickets are sold out. Doors open at 5 p,m, with bell-time at 6 p.m. “Sky is The Limit” will be broadcast over live streaming service Twitch with select matches recorded exclusively for Powerslam TV.

The following wrestlers are scheduled to appear at the event:
• Mexican wrestling stars and All-Elite Wrestling (AEW) signees The Lucha Bros – Pentagon and Rey Fenix – will face To Infinity & Beyond – ex-World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) star Colin Delaney and ex-Ring of Honor (ROH) star Cheech.
• Major League Wrestling (MLW) star and fellow AEW signee Maxwell Jacob Friedman will take on Buffalo native Puf.
• ESW Heavyweight Champion Brandon Thurston will defend his title against two-time former champion Bill Collier.
• ESW Interstate Champion Frankie Feathers will put his belt on the line versus Rochester native Nick Ando.
• Viral internet star Anthony Gaines is set to wrestle the returning ESW legend “Mastiff” Will Calrissian.
• North Tonawanda’s own Kevin Bennett will square off against “The Blade” Pepper Parks in a long anticipated street fight.

ESW promotes eight shows a year, primarily held at the St. Johnsburg Fire Hall in North Tonawanda, boasting crowds of over 400 fans. Larger “super show” events have been held at the Kenan Center in Lockport and the Frontier Fire Hall in Niagara Falls, N.Y., drawing crowds up to 1,000.

As Western New York’s premier independent professional wrestling promotion, ESW over the years has hosted many of pro wrestling’s top up-and-comers and biggest legends. Current World Wrestling Entertainment stars Kevin Owens, Luke Harper, Matt Hardy, Goldust, Rhyno, Jinder Mahal, Curt Hawkins, Cedric Alexander, Ruby Riott,and Tony Nese have appeared in ESW’s ring. Pro wrestling legends Kevin Nash, Brutus Beefcake, Billy Gunn, X-Pac, The Honky Tonk Man, Jim Duggan, Demolition, Raven, The Sandman, Tommy Dreamer, Papa Shango, The Godfather and several others have appeared at ESW events.
