Jim Kelly Football Camp returning to New Era Field

Jun 23, 2017 | Sports Scene

Jim Kelly will be present for the 30th annual Jim Kelly Football Camp at New Era Field in Orchard Park. Registration is on Sunday, June 25, and camp will run from June 25-29.

Founded in 1988, the camp has been held at St. Bonaventure University, the Rochester Institute of Technology and the University at Buffalo. In 2014, Sweet Home High School temporarily hosted camp due to renovations to the home of the Buffalo Bills.

Many campers have gone on to successful careers in college and even in the NFL, players like Dan Gronkowski, Anthony Dorsett, John Corto, Joe Licata and current Denver Broncos quarterback Chad Kelly. Even more exciting for campers is meeting the current and former greats who visit the camp every year. This year’s celebrity guests will include several former Bills and other surprise guests.

“It’s always great to be working with the kids at New Era Field,” Kelly said. “This year is particularly special because it’s our 30th anniversary. The Buffalo Bills organization has been a true partner in all of this and we are truly appreciative for our relationship with them. Our camp is a positive environment where many lessons are learned and friendships made. A large number of our over 500 campers are returning, and I can’t wait to see them out on the field!”
