A book-signing event with local author John Schreier will take place at 6 p.m. Friday, June 1, at Dog Ears Bookstore & Café, 688 Abbott Road, Buffalo.
Schreier, who worked as an English teacher in West Seneca’s high schools and at Trocaire College, serves as a volunteer at Dog Ears Bookstore and as moderator of adult writing programs. He holds degrees from Siena College and the University at Buffalo, and has had his work published in many publications.
Toward the end of 2017, Fahrenheit Press launched a short story competition to showcase talented crime fiction writers from around the world. A panel of judges whittled down the hundreds of entries they received to the 15 stories contained in this anthology, Noirville: Tales From the Dark Side, including one by Schreier. “We believe these authors represent some of the most exciting crime fiction being written today,” said a Fahrenheit Press spokesperson.
