There’s nothing like summertime in Western New York, and there’s no better way to celebrate it than with the Bishop Timon-St. Jude High School summer events that have become South Buffalo traditions.
Summer Timon, a day camp for sixth, seventh and eighth grade boys, returns this year for two week-long sessions, July 8-12 and July 15-19. Campers will spend some time in the classroom, out on the playing field, and on great day trips to places like One Bills Drive and a state-of-the-art eSports Lab. Registration is open at bishoptimon.com/summertimon19.
The annual Jim Hillery Green & Gold Golf Tournament falls on Monday, July 29, at Orchard Park Country Club. Morning and afternoon tee times are available on a first come, first served basis, so sign up now at bishoptimon.com/golf2019 to make sure you get your first choice.
And what’s a summer in 14220 without Timon Fest, which runs June 21-23 this year. Johnny Hart and The Mess open for Strictly Hip Friday night, and Saturday starts with the Tiger Trot 5k and music starting at 4 p.m. Sunday is South Buffalo Family Day with fun and activities geared towards kids.
