Marie Betti, a West Seneca native, celebrated 45 dedicated years working for Western New York Federal Credit Union in March 2024. Marie started in March of 1979 when she was hired as a clerk/teller. She was promoted to manager in 1986 and became CEO/Treasurer in 1994.
Betti has been involved in the credit union movement for many years and has been serving the credit unions of New York State as a Board Member for the Credit Union Association (CUANY) for the past 17 years. Besides holding the Director’s position, she has also been an active participant and familiar face in the Buffalo Chapter of Credit Unions for over 40 years. She has served as the Chapter President for the past 17 years and Vice President for four years prior.
“Working at Western New York FCU for the past 45 years has been a real blessing to me. I started as a teller and have ‘grown up’ with this credit union, constantly learning and meeting all challenges we’ve had over the past 45 years,” said Betti.
Western New York Federal Credit Union, located at 1937 Union Road in West Seneca, currently serves a membership of over 8,600.
