Mount Mercy Academy proudly announced the recipients of the 2022 Academic Honors and Scholarships. Three incoming members of Mount Mercy’s Class of 2026 were recognized for their outstanding academic performance. All of the scholarships are awarded to the top performers on the Catholic High School Entrance Exam.
Nola Marrero, currently a student at West Buffalo Charter School, earned the Mount Mercy Academy Alumnae Academic Scholarship which is a full four-year tuition that is awarded to the student who scores the highest on the Catholic High School Entrance Exam. Marrero is the daughter of Luis and Shawna Marrero of Buffalo.
The Mount Mercy Academy Head of School Scholarship, a four-year half-tuition scholarship for the student who scores the second highest on the exam was awarded to Taylor Ferris, currently a student at Southtowns Catholic. Ferris is the daughter of Brian and Rianna Ferris of Hamburg.
Emma Godsoe of Buffalo received the Catherine McAuley Academic Scholarship, a four-year $5,000 per year scholarship awarded to the student with the third highest score on the entrance exam. Godsoe is a student at Notre Dame Academy. She is the daughter of John an Karyn Connolly Godsoe of Buffalo and will follow in the footsteps of her mother, a 1993 graduate of Mount Mercy.
