Mount Mercy Academy announces 2023 scholarship winners

Mount Mercy Academy proudly announced the recipients of the 2023 Academic Honors and Scholarships. Three incoming members of Mount Mercy’s Class of 2027 were recognized for their outstanding academic performance. All of the scholarships are awarded to the top performers on the Catholic High School Entrance Exam.

Veronica Friol, currently a student at Queen of Heaven, earned the Mount Mercy Academy Alumnae Academic Scholarship which is a full four-year tuition that is awarded to the student who scores the highest on the Catholic High School Entrance Exam. Friol is the daughter of Christine and David Friol of West Seneca.

The Mount Mercy Academy Head of School Scholarship, a four-year half-tuition scholarship for the student who scores the second highest on the exam was awarded to Annabelle Curtis, currently a student at Orchard Park Middle School. Curtis, of Orchard Park, is the daughter of Nicole Kielar and Nicholas Curtis.

Lainey Galuszka of Eden received the Catherine McAuley Academic Scholarship, a four year $5,000 per year scholarship awarded to the student with the third highest score on the entrance exam. Galuszka is a student at Eden Middle School. She is the daughter of David and Molly Hannon-Galuszka.
