Mount Mercy Academy Head of School Michele Melligan recently named the valedictorian and salutatorian for the Class of 2021. Madeline Lickfeld and Claire Mullen were honored for their outstanding four-year academic records.
Lickfeld, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Lickfeld of Buffalo, finished her four years with the highest cumulative average, earning the right to be the valedictorian for the Mount Mercy Academy Class of 2021. Lickfeld is a member of the Health and Science Academy, Mock Trial and is a student ambassador. She is also a member of the McAuley Chapter of National Honor Society and a McAuley Scholar. In addition, she is the Organizations Section Editor of the school yearbook. She plans to attend Georgetown University in the fall to study human sciences, a pre-med program.
Mullen, the daughter of Christopher Mullen of Orchard Park and Theresa Veprek of East Aurora, completed her years at Mount Mercy with the second highest overall average in the class, and was named as the salutatorian for the Class of 2021. Mullen is the president of the STEAM Club, a member of the National Honor Society and a McAuley Scholar. She has also participated in Oratory and Debate and was on the tennis team. Mullen will attend Cornell University and intends to major in psychology.
