After a year’s absence due to Covid-19, Mount Mercy’s popular Breakfast with Santa returns this year with a new addition. The event will be held in two sessions on Dec. 11 from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m., at the same time the first annual Winter Market will be held.
The first Breakfast with Santa session will be held from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and the second session from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. This will allow for more spacing and a safer environment for all. Registration is limited to 150 people for each session. Registrations must be made in groups of four with a cost of $40. A party of 10 may purchase a table for $80 and a group of four may purchase a table for $40 with the option of adding up to four guests at a cost of $10 per adult or child. Seating for the event will be in groups of 10. The event will include a light breakfast and a gift for each child, as well as the ever-popular visit with Santa.
The inaugural Winter Market will feature local vendors selling their products in time for Christmas shopping. Those attending the breakfast may attend the Market for free and the public may come just for the Market at a cost of $5 per person. The Market will run from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. There are currently 30 vendors planning to attend the Market.
