Although their induction ceremony was delayed due to the onset of Covid-19 in March, Mount Mercy Academy would like to recognize the newest selections to the McAuley Chapter of the National Honor Society.
Seven students from Buffalo were tapped for membership: Kathryn Bednarz, Emma Lewis, Madeline Lickfeld, Megan Reilly, Mary Snyder, Victoria Trzaska and Hannah Vattes.
Three West Seneca and three Orchard Park residents were also chosen to National Honor Society. Zoe Gray, Olivia Jarosz and Emily Kessler of West Seneca and Gianna Lauciello, Claire Mullen, and Emily Rhoads of Orchard Park are also new members. Angelina Larivey and Rheanna Welsh of Lackawanna, Megan Jozwiak of Springville, and Megan Quinn and Catherine Zak complete the newest members of Mount Mercy’s chapter of National Honor Society.
Selection into the National Honor Society is based on scholarship, service, character and leadership. A formal induction ceremony will be scheduled when the Covid-19 situation allows it.
