It’s not too late to enter Mount Mercy Academy’s Tenth Annual Golf Tournament! Golfers are encouraged to sign up early so they won’t be disappointed. This year the tournament is being held at Cloverbank Country Club in Hamburg. The event, which will take place on Aug. 12, is held to benefit the Mount Mercy Academy Athletic Department.
The $175 registration fee includes lunch, green fees, cart and dinner. Registration will begin at 10:30 a.m., with lunch at 11 a.m. followed by a noon shotgun start. The dinner will begin at 5:15 p.m. Non-golfers may attend dinner for $65. In addition, there will be contests for putting, closest to the pin and the longest drive. There will also be a number of great raffle items, as well as silent auction items.
Once again highlighting this year’s tournament is the awarding of the Tenth Annual Hooper Award, named in honor of the late Kathleen A. Suchan Hooper, an alumna of the Class of 1966. Hooper was an avid golfer, a loyal alumna and a generous benefactor of Mount Mercy. The Hooper Award will be given to the top foursome. The winners’ names will be inscribed on a trophy which will be displayed at Mount Mercy.
