Mouths are watering in anticipation of the annual Taste of East Aurora event

The fifth annual Taste of East Aurora, featuring restaurants and food-related businesses with ties to the Greater East Aurora community, returns from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 10, on Main Street, from Olean Road to Riley Street.

“More than 30 local restaurants and business sponsors will participate in this fun-filled event that the entire family can enjoy,” said Gary Grote, executive director of the Greater East Aurora Chamber of Commerce. “The event will take place rain or shine and is always popular with both locals and out of town guests. We invite everyone near and far to come out and spend the day exploring our beautiful village!”

Restaurants and food-related businesses taking part in the event include 189 Public House, 42 North Brewing Co., American Grille, Arriba Tortilla, Blue Eyed Baker, East Aurora Cooperative Market, Everything Pie, Griffon Gastropub, Mr. Pot Pie, North Star Tavern and the Old Orchard Inn. Also, Orchard Fresh, Pizza Del Aureo’s, Pizza Hut, Prima Oliva, Red’s – Dogs, Burgers & Beef, Rick’s on Main, The Roycroft Inn, Taste Bistro, Tony Rome’s, Tops Friendly Markets and Village Kettlekorn. This will be the first appearance at the event for Griffon Gastropub, Mr. Pot Pie and North Star Tavern.

Food and beverage items will be priced from $1 to $4 per serving. Guests are encouraged to stop by the I-61 Church tent to vote for their favorite restaurants and earn a chance to win gift certificates to local restaurants. Additionally, stop by the Chamber’s tent for a chance to win $300 worth of gift certificates that can be used at 100-plus local businesses. Tickets for this raffle are just $5 each and only 500 tickets will be sold.

Title sponsor of the Taste event is I-61 Church. Presenting sponsors include First Niagara, Tops Friendly Markets, East Aurora Bee and Martyn Printing & Graphics Inc. Other sponsors include West Herr of East Aurora, The Gutter People of WNY Inc., Renewal by Andersen Window Replacement, Sysco and University Pediatric Dentistry at Toytown.
