New Experimac – Orchard Park store to celebrate grand opening of first Buffalo location

Jan 26, 2017 | Local News

West Seneca residents Jeff and Gina Siepierski had talked about opening their own retail store for several years, one that would not only utilize their combined skills and talents but serve their community as well. And on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 17-18, that dream meets reality with the grand opening of Experimac – Orchard Park at 3229 Southwestern Blvd., Orchard Park, in the old Nothnagle Realty space in the Tops/Lowe’s Plaza near Moe’s.

Experimac – Orchard Park, which held a soft opening at its new location on Nov. 14, has a wide selection of certified pre-owned products in stock. You can buy, sell, trade, repair, upgrade and accessorize pre-owned Apple computers and laptops, iPhone devices, iPad tablets, Apple Watch, Apple TV and more.

Given the popularity of Apple products, the Siepierski’s felt that the Southtowns area was an underserved marketplace and the perfect location for individuals who want to purchase a certified pre-owned Apple product backed by a 90-day warranty, those who want to sell or trade a device in a secure environment with immediate payment while avoiding shipping hassles, or are in need of repair or service but don’t want to drive to the Walden Galleria. No appointments are necessary at Experimac – Orchard Park; customers can walk right in at their convenience.

Jeff Siepierski is bringing the knowledge he acquired during 17 years in retail management to the Experimac store. He previously worked for the Dick’s Sporting Goods chain, managing their Hamburg store and later their Orchard Park location.

“We had been looking at franchise opportunities for a few years, but nothing ever grabbed us until we discovered Experimac,” said Gina Fontana-Siepierski, who has been working as a freelance graphic design and marketing consultant for over a decade. “I’ve used Macintosh computers for over 20 years and I’m a total Mac geek. So, we’re looking at this as a ‘dream team’ situation because it combines Jeff’s retail experience and my love of Apple computers and products. We’re really able to complement each other’s ability and talents.”

“We feel very confident about choosing Orchard Park for our location because we’re both from this area and we know the community,” Jeff added. “Our kids go to school in Orchard Park and they like to come here with us after school and on the weekends. They’re a big part of why we decided to do this. They love coming here, hanging around the store, playing video games and talking to our customers.”

Experimac – Orchard Park is the first Buffalo location of the only international retailer specializing in pre-owned Apple products. While Experimac is a franchise — there are 73 stores across the U.S. and two in Australia — Jeff and Gina are confident that the local ownership and management will give their customers a feeling of comfort and peace of mind when they walk through the door. “We are a franchise, but we have the feel of a modern ‘mom-and-pop’ store. We’re local people, not a big chain store,” Jeff added.

Store hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. Experimac also specializes in handling corporate and school accounts, and offers classes catered to Apple users of varying skill levels.
