Niagara Parks Presents: Aura – Let it Glow: Evenings through Jan. 31
This year, Niagara Parks is once again pleased to present Aura: Let it Glow, bringing several incredible illumination-themed events to the Ontario Power Generation (OPG) Winter Festival of Lights. The annual festival transforms Niagara Falls into a palette of breathtaking color with millions of sparkling lights and animated displays, located within Niagara Parks, Dufferin Islands and surrounding tourist districts. This year, the festival has been further enhanced with the addition of the upgraded LED illumination of both the Canadian Horseshoe and American Falls, which takes place every evening. OPG Winter Festival of Lights Falls Fireworks Series in Queen Victoria Park
Spectacular fireworks displays take place every Friday night at 9 p.m. until Jan. 27, plus shows every evening from Dec. 23 to 31, featuring two shows on New Year’s Eve at approximately 9 p.m. and midnight during the annual free concert in Queen Victoria Park (concert details below).
Toronto Power Sound and Light Show, choreographed with music by the Trans-Siberian Orchestra, evenings through Jan. 31. Show runs every five minutes with audio available on 100.5 FM.
Kaleidoscope Christmas at the Niagara Parks Butterfly Conservatory
Daily through Jan. 31, 2565 Niagara Parkway, Niagara Falls, Ontario. Explore the colorful displays in the Butterfly Conservatory this holiday season, and don’t forget to add your wish to the outdoor wishing walk.
Interactive Laser Booth in Queen Victoria Park
Dec. 23-31, 5 to 9 p.m. Enjoy this unique opportunity, featuring interactive lasers at the base of the Illumination Tower in Queen Victoria Park.
Annual Christmas Display at the Niagara Parks Floral Showhouse
Open Daily 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. (until 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays in December), 7145 Niagara Parkway, Niagara Falls, Ontario. The popular annual display features a huge variety of poinsettias and other horticultural wonders, also featuring the new Life on Display miniatures exhibit.
New Year’s Eve: Dec. 31 in Queen Victoria Park, 8 p.m.
Ring in the New Year at Canada’s biggest New Year’s Eve celebration! This highly anticipated free show will begin with local Niagara Falls rock band James Blonde and Canadian Country Music Association Award winner High Valley. The show continues with Juno winner Serena Ryder and concludes with one of Canada’s most beloved rock groups, the Sam Roberts Band.
Celebrate the arrival of the New Year with two magnificent fireworks displays, launched from both the Niagara Gorge and the Skylon Tower at 9 p.m. and midnight. The outdoor celebration features a variety of food and beverage options, as well as an outdoor licensed area. As always, the presence of security and policing will be on-site to ensure everyone’s safety throughout the night. The only day NPC pass attractions are closed is Dec. 25, so there is no shortage of activities over the holidays.
