The 4th Friday Poetry Series at Dog Ears Bookstore and Café, located at 688 Abbott Road In South Buffalo, continues from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 22, with host Tim Joyce. This month’s featured poet will be Lynn Ciesielski.
Admission is just $5 per person, with all donations supporting literacy and educational programming at the nonprofit community bookstore.
Featured poets are given a chance to showcase their work for 15 to 20 minutes, while open mic slots entitle readers to present up to three poems, or approximately seven minutes of work. Poets are encouraged to present any work they choose, old or new, or simply read their favorite poems from other authors. Spoken word writing is also welcome.
