A wide variety of mediums are included in the over 50 available pieces that have been donated for the event.

Back by popular demand, the Roycroft Campus in East Aurora will be holding their Art Lottery Fundraiser on Thursday, Feb. 9, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the historic Print Shop. This is a unique and fun event in support of the Campus’ restoration efforts. Tickets are $275 and include admission for two guests, light refreshments, and one “lottery” ticket for a piece of art valued at $250 or higher.

A wide variety of mediums are included in the over 50 available pieces that have been donated for the event. Some examples include painting, sculpture, clothing, jewelry, glasswork, letterpress prints, etchings, and other mixed-media pieces. Through the course of the evening, “lottery ticket” numbers will be drawn at random allowing ticket holders to choose a piece of art to take home with them.

Guests will also receive a signed limited edition print from featured artist Michele Conley Vogel, who created a new original watercolor painting especially for this event!  Michele has been a life-long artist; after earning a master’s degree in fine arts, she opened the Roycroft Art Gallery in East Aurora and ran it for 10 years, followed by restoring a historic school and running the West End Gallery there for over three decades. Michele became a nationally recognized watercolorist, painting birds and botanicals, raising money for conservation and wetlands, and winning numerous awards. At the present time, she is creating and designing product for an international company as well as producing artwork for galleries and commissions from clients.

All proceeds from the Art Lottery Fundraiser go toward the continued preservation and restoration of the historic Roycroft Campus. Further details and tickets can be found online at www.roycroftcampuscorp.com or by calling (716) 655-0261.
