On June 5 from 6 to 8 p.m., the historic Roycroft Campus invites guests to an extraordinary after-hours experience that blends artisan heritage, storytelling, and whiskey tasting. Pressing Matters: Whiskey for Garcia on the Roycroft Campus offers an immersive journey through the Campus’s rich history, guided by Roycroft Campus Board President and whiskey sommelier Erik Eustice alongside Program Director Alan Nowicki.
This exclusive event will take participants on a progressive tasting through three locations across the Campus – the Power House, Museum, and Press Room. Guests will savor curated whiskey samples while uncovering captivating stories about the Roycroft Campus’s legacy, particularly its connection to letterpress printing and founder Elbert Hubbard’s timeless essay, A Message to Garcia. As participants sip fine spirits and explore the craftsmanship that defined the Arts & Crafts Movement, they will gain insight into the Roycroft Campus’s enduring influence.
Attendees will receive three curated whiskey tastings, a commemorative Whiskey for Garcia glass, a small food pairing kit, and compelling historical storytelling that brings the Campus’s past to life. All proceeds from this event will support the preservation and restoration of this National Historic Landmark.
Minimum donation for participation is $75 for non-members or $65 for Roycroft Campus members. Guests must be 21 years or older to attend. Those who wish to accompany a friend but not partake in the whiskey tasting can donate $10 to attend as a designated driver. Space is limited, and early registration is encouraged.
