ProActive Sports Rehab, a leader in physical therapy services with locations in West Seneca and Hamburg, will celebrate its 20th anniversary on March 8.
Owned and operated by West Seneca resident Jeffrey Kirchmyer and Hamburg resident Anthony Goode, the offices offer a wide range of physical therapy and rehabilitation services including treatment for back, neck, shoulder, elbow, wrist, hip, knee, ankle and feet issues. They are also skilled in dealing with dizziness and vestibular problems, concussion and carpal tunnel.
Graduates of Daemen College, Kirchmyer and Goode’s clinics also specialize in both Graston and ASTYM techniques. Graston and ASTYM are forms of tool-assisted massage used to break up misaligned or scarred tissue in order to speed the healing process. This procedure specifically works well with tendinitis issues. This is a great option for people who have chronic pain or have failed with previous forms of treatment.
ProActive Sports Rehab also performs physical agility testing for numerous companies. This includes assessing employees looking to start a new job or returning to work from an injury. They also perform on-site assessments of job positions.
“Our one-on-one attention, comfortable clinics and family atmosphere have played a big role in our longevity and success,” said Kirchmyer. “We try to get patients in within a few days of them calling. Studies have shown that getting the patient started quickly drastically decreases their recovery time.”
“We offer a number of effective treatments such as manual stretching, joint mobilization, ultrasound, electric stimulation, tool-assisted massage and more,” added Goode. “Whatever it takes to get our patients better as quickly as possible.”
ProActive Sports Rehab offices are located at 1900 Ridge Road, Suite 116, in West Seneca’s Seneca Square Plaza (716-674-9600), and 4535 Southwestern Blvd., Suite 805, Hamburg (716-648-8700). Most insurances are accepted, including workers’ compensation and no-fault cases. New patients are being accepted at both locations.
