For the sixth year in a row, Sgroi Financial will award $2,500 to local teachers. Through their Pencil Project Giveaway, $500 will be given to five local teachers from throughout WNY. The Pencil Project Giveaway is part of an initiative that is very important to Sgroi Financial – supporting local teachers.
This year’s Pencil Project Giveaway runs through Aug. 20. The nomination process is simple as anyone can nominate a teacher from any school district in WNY. Winners will be announced on Monday, Aug. 21, and will receive $500 toward classroom supplies.
Past winners include teachers from Cleveland Hill Middle School, Franklin Elementary, Bennet Park Montessori Center, Wilson Elementary and Erie 1 Boces.

In addition to the Pencil Project, Sgroi Financial supports local educators by assisting thousands of teachers each year from over 100 districts with their 403(b) plan which is a retirement plan designed for careers such as teachers, nonprofit employees and religious organizations.
