The first weekend in December may be your last and best chance to shop with meaning and find unique handcrafted gifts for everyone on your list as the 28th annual Yuletide in the Country returns to the Event Center at the Hamburg Fairgrounds. One of the area’s largest seasonal artisan markets, Yuletide in the Country will take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 2 and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 3.
The event features more than 150 predominantly local artisans featuring spa-quality bath products, hand-poured aromatic candles, holiday décor, trendsetting jewelry, gourmet food, craft spirits and wine, and holiday gift items galore. Yuletide in the Country offers a remarkable cross-section of gift ideas.
“This show really gives you one last opportunity to find gifts that are special, handmade and unique,” said Dan Kaczynski of Premier Promotions, organizers of the event. “Shopping the days and weeks before Christmas can be so stressful, but Yuletide is a relaxed and fun experience.”
In keeping with tradition, local charities will also be on hand raising money for their worthy causes. Hamburg/Eden Animal Rescue (H.E.A.R.T.) will hold a raffle of handmade gifts donated by participating artisans.
Tickets will be available at the door and are $6 per person, with children under 12 free.
For more than 39 years, Premier Promotions has produced successful artisan events including Springtime in the Country, Christmas in the Country, Christmas in the Country Rochester and Yuletide in the Country. Last year, more than 100,000 visitors attended these events purchasing more than $8 million in high-quality, hand-crafted goods from juried artists and artisans. These events have helped raise more than $4 million for Western New York charities.
