The SPCA Serving Erie County is proud to introduce Paws & Patriots, presented by The Dome, an all-new adoption promotion designed to honor and thank our region’s veterans and active service members for their dedication and sacrifice!
This unique program is the SPCA’s first year-round adoption promotion for veterans and active-duty military members, offering 50% off adoption fees on all animals at the SPCA Serving Erie County.
Paws & Patriots applies to animals of all ages, species, and breeds. The discount is available to veterans, active-duty military members, and their spouses, with valid military identification or DD214 required. If a service member is currently stationed outside New York State, their spouse may adopt under the program with a military spouse identification card. Paws & Patriots is available only at the SPCA’s West Seneca location at 300 Harlem Road.
“For a long time, the SPCA Serving Erie County has sought a year-round, meaningful way to thank the members of our military for everything they do,” said Adoption Supervisor Zak Sprowls. “The bond between people and pets can have such a powerful, positive impact — especially for veterans and active service members who often experience unique challenges. Companionship, structure, and unconditional love from an animal can make a real difference in someone’s life. This program is truly a win-win situation: animals find the loving homes they deserve, and our heroes gain loyal friends who bring comfort and joy. We’re deeply grateful to The Dome for helping make this longtime dream a reality.”
Owner/Manager of The Dome, Caleb Huck, said, “We are very proud to support the SPCA and the Paws & Patriots program. Our veterans mean the world to us and our country, so we love that the SPCA’s new Paws & Patriots program makes it that much easier for veterans and active service members to adopt these wonderful animals.”
The SPCA Serving Erie County and The Dome are proud to provide lasting love to those who have served, while also helping countless animals find the wonderful homes they deserve.
