An event for healthcare professionals will be held at the newly-opened Shea’s Seneca Events Center on May 15. The first Nurses’ Night of Celebration will feature an evening of special treatment for Western New York’ nurses from 5 to 9 p.m.
Tickets will be $5 for any nurse, nurse’s aid or individuals who are in a healthcare profession that provides these services. Those who are interested in the healthcare field and who wish to celebrate with the caregivers are also welcomed, with the ticket cost being $10 for these individuals. The focus is on healthcare workers, but anyone may come and celebrate with the attendees.
Since May is National Nurse’s Month, the event highlights the selfless career of dedicated healthcare workers.
Booths will be set up throughout the venue that will appeal to the healthcare industry. There will be complimentary wine, beverages, food, desserts, chocolates and other samples offered by area vendors. Some booths will feature “pamper services” such as massages and spa treatments. A photo booth will be featured and a deejay will provide music. There will be special clothing, jewelry and other stores represented that have a special appeal for the evening’s attendees.
D’Youville College School of Nursing is the main sponsor of Nurses’ Night. The college is Western New York’s premier nursing school. The evening will benefit the Family Justice Center of Erie County, which provides free assistance to victims of domestic violence and their children.
Each vendor is providing an item to give away at the event. These will be given away via a random drawing of the attendees.
Shea’s Seneca is at 2188 Seneca St. in South Buffalo. It was renovated and opened in late 2018. The ornate lobby will be where vendor booths will be set up, with more booths in the former theater’s banquet room.
Free valet parking will be offered. Information and tickets are available at www.NursesNightofCelebration.com.
