Spectrum Health Education and Training Institute (SETI), a licensed continuing education provider for human service professionals, will offer two new virtual trainings beginning in January.
Enrollment is now open to all New York State human service professionals seeking professional development and continued education trainings. All sessions are currently virtual. SETI is accredited in New York State to deliver state approved Continuing Education Units (CEUs), professional development, skill and technique development.
These trainings are all virtual and presented live (not pre-recorded). The programs are:
Coping With Client Loss, Wednesday, Jan. 25, 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
This interactive training offers different perspectives and models of the grief and loss process, particularly regarding client loss in the behavioral health setting. It’s an opportunity to explore healthy coping skills and to normalize thoughts and feelings about grief. Participants are required to use video and audio. Foundations of Trauma Treatment, Monday, Feb. 27, 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
This is the first in a new series about trauma. It’s a detailed overview of best practices and new research in working with clients who experienced trauma. Topics include the neurobiology of trauma and an introduction to evidenced based treatment modalities. Attendees will earn 6.5 CEUs. Jaymee Caplan, LMHC is the trainer.
