Students donate holiday funds to Moving Miracles

Dec 27, 2017 | Lifestyles

During their recent and annual Santa on the Bridge fundraiser, West Seneca West Senior High School’s National Honor Society raised $725 by decorating the bridge connecting the old and new wings of the building. Teachers then brought their classes to get pictures taken with Santa and Mrs. Claus, and students took Christmas-themed sELFies with their friends.

The money collected through contests, a concession stand and photo opportunities was donated to Moving Miracles, a local nonprofit organization committed to assisting individuals with special needs in reaching their highest potential through a kinesthetic approach combining dance, creative movement, music, props and rhythm, and ultimately inspiring self-expression, self-esteem and socialization.
