“Step by Step Right-sizing — How to Simplify It” will be the topic of a free seminar offered at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 26, at Symphony Circle Active Living, 279 North St, Buffalo.
Presenting the seminar will be Michael Olear, MSW, president of Olear Realty Group, Inc. and a licensed associate real estate broker with Olear Team/MJ Peterson Real Estate; Marion “Mimi” Piciullo, a licensed real estate salesperson with the Olear Team/MJ Peterson; and Ann Marie Klosko, owner of Elder Transition Consulting.
“You’d love to find a place that’s the right size for you, but what do you do about all of your stuff?” asks Olear. Utilizing information gathered during his 30 years in the real estate industry, Olear and Piciullo will offer a simple, step-by-step approach to right-sizing. Ideas discussed during the seminar will include:
• What are the components of a successful plan?
• How can you reduce the stress and simplify the process?
• What questions do you need to ask estate sale professionals?
• Is the real estate market better for buyers or sellers right now?
• What requirements are imposed by banks and municipalities when you sell?
With an MSW from the University at Buffalo and a previous career in social work, Olear combines his professional experiences to offer a unique blend of knowledge for consumers. He has provided seminars throughout both Erie and Niagara County for over a decade.
Piciullo has spent her career helping others. Her past experience includes almost 20 years in senior care with much of that time as administrator of senior living, assisted living and memory care communities. She has extensive referral resources for families looking for care options for a senior while helping them sell a beloved family home to the right buyer.
Klosko’s company is focused on assisting elders when it’s time to move. Her services include organizing, sorting, packing and unpacking, light cleaning, and getting her clients settled into their new living arrangement. She will also arrange for donations, estate sales, movers, realtors and other reputable service providers related to the moving process. Her priority is to ensure her clients transition from their current living arrangement to a place where they are safe, will have comfort, and will enjoy a better quality of life.
