The sun was shining when representatives from West Seneca East Senior High School went out into the community on Friday, May 20 for the first annual Trojans Take Action day of service.
Students, faculty and staff wore bright neon shirts as they completed projects including gardening, painting, mulching, washing and reading. In total, over 1,000 Trojans helped over 40 schools, churches, community groups, playgrounds, police officers and more in West Seneca and surrounding communities!
The event concluded with a celebration back at the high school that included jousting in an inflatable ring, cooling off with delicious cold treats, and dancing and singing along to music. While celebrating, it was common to hear students asking one another about the projects they completed and how much fun they had giving back to the community they live in.
