Two upcoming fundraisers — a Chicken BBQ and Chinese Auction event and a large indoor yard sale — will both benefit the shelter animals at Pet Connection Programs Inc., a nonprofit maternity animal shelter located in Marilla.
Held from 3 to 6 p.m. Saturday, April 2, the Chicken BBQ and Chinese Auction will take place at the Variety Club Banquet Hall located at 6114 Broadway in Lancaster. Dinner tickets are just $10 and include a half chicken by BW’s Smokin’ Barrels Barbecue, Pet Connection’s famous cream corn bake, mashed potatoes, noodle salad, roll and choice of dessert. The auction will feature more than 150 items plus fantastic door prizes!
Doggy bags and tabby totes filled with treats and surprises will also be available during the event. Please note that the chicken dinners are prepared for take-out as seating is very limited. To donate a new item or gift card for the auction, please call 652-0192 or email pe************@gm***.com.
The Variety Club Banquet Hall will also host Pet Connection’s annual indoor yard sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, May 7. For every $5 spent at the yard sale, guests will earn a chance to win a wonderful prize. Donations for the yard sale can be dropped off at Pet Connection, 12935 Williston Road, Marilla, through May 5. Items can be placed inside the enclosed front porch of the taller white building. Items can also be dropped off at the Variety Club Banquet Hall from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, May 6. Gently used items only; no heavy furniture or appliances, computers or printers.
