Two students at Mary Queen of Angels Regional Catholic School in Cheektowaga have earned prestigious scholarships to continue their Catholic education.
Cheektowaga resident Thatheona Padilla, currently an eighth grade student at Mary Queen of Angels, is a recipient of The John R. Oishei Foundation High School Scholarship, which provides full tuition for four years of high school plus $500 annually for books and technology fees. Padilla will attend South Buffalo’s Mount Mercy Academy in the fall.
Sianna Le of Buffalo, currently a fourth grade student at Mary Queen of Angels, has been chosen as a Cullen Scholar by the Cullen Foundation Scholarship Committee and will receive full tuition to attend MQA for each of the next four years.
“We are beyond thrilled for these two terrific students, and we congratulate Thatheona, Sianna and their families for their accomplishments in the classroom and their ongoing commitment to Catholic education,” said MaryAlice Bagwell, principal at Mary Queen of Angels School. “We look forward to their continued scholastic success and we can’t wait to see what the future holds for these talented young ladies.”
