For the third year in a row, a panel of industry experts and editors at USA Today’s Readers’ Choice Awards has chosen the National Buffalo Wing Festival as a nominee for Best Specialty Food Festival. Last year the Wingfest placed fourth.
Winners are determined by an online vote. Voting ends on Monday, March 3 at noon. The 10 winning festivals will be announced on Wednesday, March 12. Rules allow the public to vote online each day.

Festivals are nominated by an expert panel of travel and food experts as the best across the United States that celebrate specific foods, often local specialties grown or produced in the region. These themed events promise attendees good food, good times, and plenty of opportunities to indulge.
The National Buffalo Wing Festival, going into its 24th year, has become a top local tourism attraction, seeing attendees from 46 different states and 24 countries last year. The festival, which has also served up over 5 million chicken wings and raised over $500,000 for local charities, will be held at Sahlen Field Aug. 30-31.
