West Seneca Bikes is teaming up with the Town of West Seneca and the West Seneca Farmers’ Market to offer weekly group bike rides on Thursday evenings beginning July 1. This is a slow-paced family event for all ages. Average rides are approximately six to eight miles at a pace of approximately 9 mph.
West Seneca Bikes will host an informational table from 4 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, June 24 at the West Seneca Farmers’ Market, located on the grassy hill next to Town Hall. Beginning July 1, ride participants can assemble at the farmers’ market each week at 6:45 p.m. in the parking lot near the West Seneca Ice Rink. Weekly rides will begin at 7 p.m.
Bike riders are advised to wear highly visible clothing and helmets, and lights are encouraged. No headphone or earpieces are to be worn. This is a ride-at-your-own-risk event. In the event of an emergency or equipment issue, try your best to safely remove yourself from the road and notify a West Seneca Bikes crew member.
West Seneca Bikes is an independent social club that also meets every other Sunday at 11 a.m. at a different location in Western New York for an 8- to 10-mile, all-ages bike ride. Please visit www.facebook.com/WestSenecaBikes for updates.
