The West Seneca Chamber of Commerce announced that the organization’s very first discount card is now available, just in time for the start of the holiday shopping season! Featuring 20 offers from local businesses and priced at just $5 each, the plastic cards — the size of a credit card — will be very useful as holiday stocking stuffers and small gifts, and for consumers just looking to save a few dollars when they visit some of their favorite local establishments during the 2020 calendar year.
The front of the card, labeled “Food & Fun,” features offers from Queen City Meadery, Just Pizza, Ultima Taco, Spot Coffee, Paula’s Donuts, Spices & Teas by Milly, Great Lakes Pizza, Eileen’s Bakery, Horizon Martial Arts and Bouncebackbuffalo.com.
On the reverse side, labeled “Shops & Services,” are offers from Al-Ross, Ikon Self Storage, West Seneca Sun, CCCS of Buffalo, Gardenville Blooms, Experimax Orchard Park, Jim Courtney Photography, ProActive Sports Rehab, Senior In-Home Personal Training and 716ProClean.
“The purpose of the card is to increase foot traffic and business for the 20 local businesses — all Chamber of Commerce members — who opted to participate in this unique program,” said Joe Kirchmyer, executive director of the West Seneca Chamber of Commerce. “If successful, the discount card program will become an annual tradition, with proceeds from the sale of the cards benefitting future Chamber of Commerce programming.”
Discount cards can be purchased at the West Seneca Chamber of Commerce office located in the Community Center & Library at 1300 Union Road. Office hours are typically 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday. Discount cards are also available for purchase at Al-Ross, located at 2756 Seneca St. at the corner of Harlem Road, and the Western New York Federal Credit Union at 1937 Union Road.
“We’re hoping that local companies and organizations might join the fun and purchase cards for employees and customers in an effort to encourage people to shop local,” Kirchmyer added. “This is just one example of how the West Seneca Chamber of Commerce is working very hard to encourage business growth in West Seneca.”
